SOMETIMES GROWING UP
MEANS FACING YOUR DEMONS
The son of a struggling single mother, Jamie Conklin just wants an ordinary childhood. But Jamie is no ordinary child. Born with an unnatural ability his mom urges him to keep secret, Jamie can see what no one else can see and learn what no one else can learn. But the cost of using this ability is higher than Jamie can imagine – as he discovers when an NYPD detective draws him into the pursuit of a killer who has threatened to strike from beyond the grave.
LATER is Stephen King at his finest, a terrifying and touching story of innocence lost and the trials that test our sense of right and wrong. With echoes of King’s classic novel It, LATER is a powerful, haunting, unforgettable exploration of what it takes to stand up to evil in all the faces it wears.

Just like the old times!
This one is a page turner and rips along! Spooky but not as scary as some other novels. But the feel is there and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Ps, it definitely ties in to King’s running mythos which is very cool.

A great diversion
Another enthralling story from the prolific S. King. This tale slips on like a comfortable pair of jeans and before you know it, you are immersed in the horror we’ve come to expect from a master in his craft. A pleasant, if brief, vacation from cataclysmic news headlines and tragic realities of political and viral fallout.

Stephen King please keep writing
He just keeps getting better and better. His ubiquity means nothing. He is really a master, plain and simple. No one writes about childhood, family, friendship, and love like Stephen King.

A light fun mystery novel
A fun read in the narrative of a Holden Caulfield . At times I thought Steven King was imitating JD ‘s narrative for a fun exploration of alternative writing styles. Really enjoyed the book

Solid storytelling
A very easy read - which is a credit to King and his writing. I expected a little more from the story and it seemed to end fairly suddenly. Not sure what, exactly, more I expected, but enjoyable nonetheless.

This is King at his (near) best
I’m an avid reader of many things, and King is my favorite author. That said, I am not a “He can’t do anything wrong” sort of guy. Lisey’s Story is an example of a book I couldn’t even finish... but then there are the good, the great and the masterpieces. I found this to be a truly strong outing. I’ve read King nearly my entire life. I’m 52 now, and Steven is older. I wish he could live forever... but I’d settle for as long as I do. King’s voice is my favorite one to hear in my head. Thanks for the fun book, champ. I may not be able to call you back from the deadlights when you’re gone, but I suppose revisiting your prose will suffice.

Amazing read!!
I loved everything about this book. It had the classic feel of It, The Shining and other iconic Stephen King novels. This grabbed you, and steadily reeled you in right up to the amazing end, and even there was a surprise or two. I loved this one and whether you're a Stephen King fan, or are just discovering him for the first time, you owe it to yourself to dive into this one. Don't until, Later. Seeya, Champ!!

Thoroughly Entertining
Stephen King never fails to pull the reader in and to keep his or her attention throughout the stories he weaves. “Later” does not disappoint in this (or any) respect. King manages to conflate a coming of age story with his usual blend of horror and humor and manages to convey his tale convincingly through the eyes of a boy who becomes a teenager and eventually an adult, with the prose using echoing the developmental stages of a maturing child. All in all, this is an excellent read.

Best in years!
His character development is so amazing. He drew me in within the first pages by the picture he painted of this boy and his mother. There were quite a few hooks in the first chapter that drew me right in as well. For Stephen King I am often drawn to his likable characters but sometimes the plot takes a turn that I can’t go with and he loses my interest. This is true of his more recent stuff but not in this case. The plot, characters, and writing were all top notch! In my opinion his best work since 11/22/63!
